A Learn-to-Read App for Kids
From New Reader toIndependent Readerin 75 Lessons.
Most reading apps are just flashing games designed for distraction. Ready, Set, Reading! is the world's first complete, all-in-one digital platform powered by advanced child-speech recognition AI that actually teaches children how to read from scratch—guaranteeing 1st to 2nd-grade reading mastery.
Watch your child read a full sentence after their very first lesson.
Ready. Set. Reading.
Our Proven 3-Step System
Our structured literacy framework breaks down the complex mechanics of reading into three distinct, bite-sized phases. Children build compounding confidence because they see immediate results.
- STEP 1
READY
Mastering the Isolated Sounds
Before children can read words, they must master the building blocks. In the Ready phase, students are explicitly taught individual letter sounds using crisp, accurate phonetic modeling. No guessing, no confusion - just pure phonemic awareness.
- STEP 2
SET
Blending Sounds into Real Words
Once the individual sounds are locked in, students are Set to build. We teach children exactly how to blend those isolated sounds smoothly together to form complete words. This transitions them from seeing random letters to recognizing mechanical formulas for words.
- STEP 3
READING
From Isolated Words to Full Sentences
This is where the magic happens. Children immediately take the exact words they just built and transition them into context. By reading complete, structured sentences, they achieve functional literacy starting from Lesson 1.
Science of Reading meets Tech
We didn't just build another reading app; we built an intelligent, real-time listening coach. By pairing proven speech science with cutting-edge technology, Ready, Set, Reading! provides the exact type of immediate feedback a child needs to break through learning hurdles.

Advanced Child-Speech Recognition AI
Children do not speak like adults. Our custom-engineered AI is trained specifically to process the unique speech patterns, pitches, and mispronunciations of young learners. As your child reads aloud, the app listens in real-time - gently catching errors and providing immediate, patient phonetic correction before bad reading habits can form.

- 02
Dynamic Sound Highlighting
To build deep phonemic awareness (the ability to hear and manipulate individual sounds), our platform utilizes synchronized sound highlighting. As "Talking Book" blends sounds or reads sentences, the exact letter-sound combinations illuminate in real-time. This visual anchor bridges the gap between the sound they hear, the sound they speak, and the letters they see on screen.

- 03
Visual Mouth Placement Guides
When a child encounters a hard-to-pronounce phoneme, text on a screen isn't enough. For tricky or complex sounds, Ready, Set, Reading! pulls up clear, animated mouth placement animations. By showing children exactly how to position their lips, teeth, and tongue, we take the frustration out of decoding complex phonetic structures.

One reading path, two ways to use it
Built for beginning readers at home and school
Ready, Set, Reading! is a systematic phonics app for kids in Pre-K through Grade 2. It listens as children read aloud, gives immediate feedback, and tracks progress for families and classrooms.
For families learning at home
Help your child learn to read with a clear lesson sequence, immediate read-aloud feedback, and progress that saves after every exercise.

Questions parents ask
Who is Ready, Set, Reading! for?
It is built around reading readiness rather than a specific age. The curriculum assumes no prior reading at all — Lesson 1 introduces three sounds and ends with the child reading a complete sentence — and carries through to the decoding skills expected of a 1st to 2nd grade reader. If a child can sit with a screen and repeat a sound they hear, they can start at Lesson 1.
Does my child need to know their letters first?
No. The first lesson teaches m, a and s from scratch, and every word after that is built only from sounds already covered. No word appears before the sounds inside it have been taught, so a child is never put in a position of having to guess.
How long does a lesson take?
It varies by lesson and by child. Lesson 1 is seven exercises; later lessons run to around thirty, and each exercise is a single sound, word or sentence read aloud. Progress is saved exercise by exercise, so a lesson can be stopped part-way and picked up later without losing the child's place.
Does it work for children with dyslexia?
It was designed with dyslexia in mind by a Doctor of Special Education. Approaches that rely on memorising word shapes or guessing from pictures tend to leave children with dyslexia behind. Ready, Set, Reading! uses explicit, systematic phonics instead: words are broken into their smallest phonetic units and the mechanical rules of decoding are taught directly, with a clean, visually stable interface that keeps cognitive load low.
What if my child has a speech delay?
There is an SLI accommodations mode for children with speech sound disorders, apraxia, or expressive language delays. Standard voice recognition can be an exercise in real frustration for these children, so this mode is tuned to encourage rather than discourage.
